Artwork title
Botty Shelly |
Artwork description
This is a work of Postmodern Dada -- an artifact of CyberSpace -- Modern-day Cyber-Venuses projected onto my own implementation in Mathematica of the George Francis/ Donna Cox/Ray Idaszak "Etruscan Venus" as Marcel Duchamp's "Female Figleaf". My "Etruscan Venus" is being reborn in Botticelli's scallop shell which I also created using Mathematica. This sculpture depicts Woman as a four-dimensional, spiritual, intelligent, metaphysical, transformative vessel. |

Tactile Mathematics |
Artwork description
This is a formal programme in Creative Research being carried out with Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. D. McDonagh and Sheila Schneider. We are applying tactile captions, written with reference to algorithms of reduced cognitive load, onto three-dimensional objects relating to mathematics. |

Computer Sculpture Printed Directly in Color |
Artwork description
All the research on color in computer graphics in the 1980s
can now be directly realized in-the-round in full 3-D via
computer printing technology. Stewart Dickson demonstrates
recent research results extending the capabilities of direct,
in-the-round color computer-generated sculpture. |
